B meet: RESC @ Cedarbrook, 6/15/16

The Sailfish traveled to Cedarbrook for our first B meet of the season. See the results here.

RESC (398.5) @ Flower Valley (382.5), 6/18/16

It was a spectacular morning at Flower Valley for our first Saturday meet.

Special congratulations to Noah Rutberg, who set team records in boys 13-14 IM, free, and back; to Alexander Wen, who set the team record in boys 9-10 breaststroke; to Goaxing Cosgrove, who set the team record in girls 13-14 breaststroke; to Alison Kaiser, who set the team record in 13-14 breaststroke; and to Hannah Lindsey, who set the Flower Valley pool record in girls 15-18 back.

B meet: RESC @ Wildwood Manor, 6/22/16

We had a lovely evening at Wildwood Manor for our second Wednesday night meet of the season.  Results are available here.

Manchester Farm (289) @ RESC (502), 6/25/16

Regency Estates wins its second meet of the season over Manchester Farm.  Results are available here. See photos right here.

Michael Kaiser (15.41) broke Regency Estates Swim Club’s oldest record – boys 9-10 25m fly – previously held by MCSL Hall-of-Famer Andy Lockman and set way back in 1972!  He also set the pool record.

Alex Wen (18.62) broke his own team record and set the pool record in boys 9-10 25m breast.

Alison Kaiser (35.62) broke her own team record and set the pool record in girls 13-14 50m breast.

Gaby Kaiser (18.77) dropped more than a second off the team record in girls 8&under 25m fly, which had stood since 1993.

Noah Rutberg (26.38) broke his own team record in boys 13-14 50 free.

B meet: RESC @ Inverness, 6/29/16

River Falls (336.5) @ RESC (439.5), 7/2/16

Regency Estates wins its third meet of the season over River Falls.  Results are available here.

Althea Bush (21.99) dropped more than a second off the team record in girls 8&under 25m breast, which had stood since 1999.

Gaby Kaiser (20.53) broke the team record in girls 8&under 25m back.

Alex Wen (18.28) broke his own team and pool records in boys 9-10 25m breast.

Michael Kaiser (15.18) broke his own team and pool records in boys 9-10 25m fly.

Zach Einhorn (54.17) broke his own team record in boys 15-18 100m free.

B meet: Old Georgetown @ RESC, 7/6/16

RESC (398.5) @ Mill Creek Town (389.5), 7/9/16

In a close and spirited meet, RESC trailed by eight points at halftime but mounted a furious comeback to win by nine and move its record to 4-0.  Results are available here.

Congratulations to Althea Bush, who broke her own team record and the MCT pool record in girls 8&under 25m breast stroke, with a time of 21.88.

Congratulations to Alex Wen, who broke the MCT pool record in boys 9-10 25m breast stroke, with a time of 18.93; and to Michael Kaiser, who broke the MCT pool record in boys 9-10 25m fly, with a time of 15.96.

Division D Relay Carnival @ Manchester Farm (RESC 224, MCT 172, HA 150, FV 143, RF 132, MF 131), 7/10/16

RESC enjoyed a historic morning at the Division D Relay Carnival at Manchester Farm this morning.  Regency swimmers won 11 of the 22 events and took second in 5 others, en route to a first place finish!

The winning relay teams in events 4, 6, 10,11, 14, 16, 21, and 22 automatically qualify for the All-Star Relay Meet at Rockville on July 30.

Congratulations to the Girls Open 200 Medley team of Beth Wright, Alison Kaiser, Hannah Lindsey, and Katie Wright, who set a new RESC team record with a time of 2:09.30.

B meet: Chevy Chase Rec @ RESC, 7/13/16

We finished out the Wednesday night schedule with a fun-filled meet against CCRA.  The kids were dancing at halftime and our kickboarders once again led the way.  Results are here.

Hallowell (333) @ RESC (458), 7/16/16

Super 10U Meet @ Inverness, 7/19/16

Division D Championships @ RESC (RESC 926.5, MCT 845.5, FV 790, RF 759, HA 734.5, MCF 570.5), 7/23/16

The Sailfish concluded a perfect season in Division D by winning the Division D Championship meet at RESC.  Results are available here. See a gallery of photos here.

Congratulations to Hannah Lindsey, who finished her amazing individual competition career in RESC’s pool in fitting style by lowering her own team and pool record in 50 fly to 29.10.

Congratulations to Zack Einhorn, who lowered his own team record in 100 freestyle to 54.00

Congratulations to Gaoxing Cosgrove, who lowered his own team record in 50 breast to 34.40

And congratulations to the boys relay teams for record-setting performances!

The 175 Graduated Freestyle team of Alexander Wen, Matthew Pelletier, Noah Rutbergand Didi Chi set the the RESC team and pool records with a time of 1:48.07.

The 200 Open Medley team of Gaoxing Cosgrove, Nino Tranquill, Zack Einhorn, and Neema Moayed set the RESC team record with a time of 1:58.71.

Other Division D swimmers turned in record-setting performances as well –

Congratulations to Flower Valley’s John Pate, who set the RESC pool record in 15-18 100 free with a time of 52.10.

Congratulations to Hallowell’s Sean Santos, who broke his own RESC pool record from a week ago in 11-12 50 breast with a time of 35.40.

Congratulations to Manchester Farm’s Cameron Spinner, who set the RESC pool record in 9-10 25 fly with a time of 15.76.

Congratulations to River Fall’s Erin Dougherty, who set the RESC pool record in 11-12 50 fly with a time of 30.77.

Congratulation to Hallowell’s Alex Munson, who set the RESC pool record in 15-18 50 fly with a time of 26.57.

MCSL All-Star Relays, 7/30/16

RESC qualified 10 relay teams to swim in the MCSL Section I All-Star Relay Meet against the leading relay teams from each of Division A-H.  Results are available here.

MCSL Individual All-Star Meet, 7/31/16

Congratulations to all the swimmers who swam at the MCSL Individual All-Star Meet in 2016!

Results of the individual all-star meet, where 12 RESC swimmers went up against the rest of MCSL’s fastest swimmers in 2016, are here.

Special congratulations go to Althea Bush, who is the 2016 MCSL Champion in girls 8&under 25 breast, with a time of 22.36!

 Four Regency swimmers set team records at individual all-stars –
  • Gaby Kaiser lowered her team record in girls 8&under 25 fly to 18.03, finishing 3rd.  She also finished 3rd in free.
  • Noah Rutberg lowered his team record in boys 13-14 50 free to 26.00, finishing 4th.  He also finished 4th in 50 back.
  • Alison Kaiser lowered her team record in girls 13-14 50 breast to 35.24, finishing 2nd.  She also finished 7th in IM.
  • Alexander Wen lowered his team record in boys 9-10 25 breast to 18.23, finishing 3rd.  He also finished 9th in 50 free.
 RESC’s other swimmers achieved the following impressive results at individual all-stars:
  • Thomas Pelletier was 8th in boys 9-10 50 breast and 5th in fly.
  • Edward “Didi” Chi was 7th in boys 8&under 25 free and 6th in breast.
  • Michael Kaiser was 8th in boys 9-10 25 back and 8th in fly.
  • Gaoxing Cosgrove was 9th in boys 13-14 50 free and 7th in IM.
  • Malia Bush was 7th in girls 13-14 50 free and 13th in IM.
  • Angelica Hu was 11th in girls 9-10 50 free and 16th in back.
  • Kyle Wang was 14th in boys 9-10 25 fly.
