Country Glen (463) @ RESC (329), 6/16/12

Congratulations to RESC’s Hannah Lindsey, who broke the RESC team and pool record in 13-14 Girls 50 Back, and the pool records in 13-14 Girls 100 IM, 50 Free and 50 Fly. Kudos to Malia Bush, who broke the RESC team record in 9-10 Girls 25 Breast. And congratulations to the following Country Glen swimmers who broke RESC pool records: Jordan Gross (9-10 Boys 25 Back) and Abraham Kim (13-14 Boys 50 Breast).

RESC (357.5) @ Connecticut Belair (433.5), 6/23/12

RESC (233) vs. Quince Orchard (545) @ Hallowell, 7/2/12

The Sailfish traveled to Hallowell for the meet against Quince Orchard, which was rescheduled because of the storms last Friday night. Thanks to all the kids and parent volunteers who helped pull off the meet under trying circumstances! See the results here.

Hallowell (498.5) @ RESC (293.5), 7/7/12

The Sailfish fall to the Hurricanes on a warm morning at RESC. Congratulations to Malia Bush, who broke the RESC team record in 9-10 Girls 50 Free that had been held since 2003 by Assistant Coach Laurence Bloch! And congrats also to Hannah Bush, who broke the team record in 9-10 Girls 25 Fly that had been held by Katie Wright since 2009. Kudos also to Hallowell’s Megan Conrad, who broke the RESC pool record in 15-18 Girls 100 Back that had been held by RESC’s Laurence Bloch since 2008, and to Hallowell’s Katie Athey, who broke the pool record in 11-12 Girls 50 Fly that had been held by RESC’s Hannah Lindsey since 2010.

Division D Relay Carnival @ Country Glen, 7/8/12

The Sailfish finish 6th in a spirited (and really hot!) Relay Carnival at Country Glen. Congratulations to Malia BushBeth WrightKatie Wright and Jessica Hu, who broke Country Glen’s pool record in winning the 14 & Under Girls 175 Graduated Free Relay. Great job everyone!

MCSL Coaches Long Course Invitational @ Rockville, 7/10/12

It was a record-setting night Tuesday at the MCSL Coaches Long Course Invitational, which includes the top eight swimmers in each “A meet” event and doubles the distance they normally swim. Congratulations to our own Hannah Lindsey, who broke an eight-year-old MCSL record in winning the 13-14 Girls 100 Back!! Hannah also won the 13-14 Girls 200 IM!!

Also representing RESC were Noah RutbergKatie Wright and Malia Bush. Noah, the only 9-year-old in the 9-10 Boys 100 Free, finished a strong 8th in a very competitive race. Katie and Malia were alternates in 13-14 Girls 100 Free and 9-10 Girls 100 Free, respectively. Congratulations Regency swimmers!

Division D Championships @ RESC, 7/21/12

The Sailfish wrap up the 2012 season with a spirited performance at the Division D Championships, which were won by the Quince Orchard Otters, who wound up tying the Country Glen Sun Devils for the overall title in Division D title. Congratulations to Olivia French of Kentlands, the Quince Orchard Boys Open Medley Relay, and Gabriel Laracuente of Quince Orchard for setting Regency Estates pool records. Here are the team point totals:

MCSL Individual All-Stars, 7/29/12

Congratulations to RESC’s Hannah LindseyKatie WrightNoah RutbergMalia Bush and Hannah Bush for their great performances at All-Stars!

Malia Bush (swimming as a 9-year-old!) lowered her own team record in 9-10 Girls 50 Free, set earlier this summer. She ends the summer season as the fastest 9-year-old girl freestyler in the county, while Noah Rutberg ends the season as the fastest 9-year-old boy freestyler in the county!

More kudos to Hannah Lindsey, who smashed Grace Whiteis‘ 33-year-old team record in 13-14 Girls 100 IM by 1.1 seconds!
